What happened to this website - it doesn't look right?
The site has been redesigned to use current web standards. Old browsers make various attempts at implementing these standards - usually very bad ones. They include Internet Explorer prior to version 5, Netscape prior to version 6 and Opera prior to version 5. If you are using any of these this site will not look particularly nice but the information is still there.
Which browsers do you test on?
We concentrate our testing on browsers and operating systems that the majority of our visitors use. Our first priority is to have the site work in any browser that accounts for more than 5% of our visitors. Anything below that is on a "reasonable effort" basis.
Do you use cookies?
We only use cookies for one purpose - maintaining sessions. Sessions are used to improve your interaction with the site. The site will still work without them but some functionallity is lost. The cookie is a temporary cookie only - it is destroyed when you close your browser.
Why don't you have a shopping cart so I can purchase online?
One simple reason - we sell generators and engines, not books and CDs. If you buy a book online for $50 and it is not what you want, you can always give it to a friend or wrap it up as a Christmas present for someone. Ever give someone a $10,000 generator for their birthday? We want you to talk to us before you buy. You may know exactly what you want but a lot of people don't. If our experienced staff save you from buying an unsuitable product you will appreciate the twenty five cent phone call.
